We needed to sell a late model Audi Avant, and as always were trying to make the difficult decision about the best way to do it. I contacted Mark Liddiard at Carringtons to invite him to look at the car: he suggested that we let Carringtons sell the car on our behalf on a sale or return basis, and gave me an indicative value of what they would return to us if the sale was successful. After about six weeks the car was sold, and we were returned a value, which was pretty much what Mark had indicated. In all it was a painless, friendly and entirely satisfactory experience from a business sector that does not always enjoy a 'positive press': I certainly would recommend Carringtons and use them again.
