I recently purchased a Vauxhall Astra SXI 1.6 from Carringtons, in November 2011. I dealt with Andrew Gladders and was very pleased with both the car and the customer service. I viewed the car on a Saturday and by the Tuesday it had been MOT'd and topped up with fuel, ready for collection. The car was in pristine condition, very clean and I couldn't have been happier with the whole transaction. They even took away my car for disposal as a part exchange, saving me the hassle. A swift, trouble free transaction. I would happily purchase a car from here again.

I heard their advert on Jack FM and as my Honda Accord 2.2 iCTDi needed a 50k service, gave them a call. I did have initial misgiving as they do not specialise in my brand and I have always used a main dealer in the past. I initially spoke to Kelly and then to Nigel the new service manager; he answered my pointed questions brilliantly. He assured me that I would have a free loan car, and the best quality service possible from their “master technicians”. When I arrived, everything happened just like clockwork, I really appreciated their friendly and courteous attitude, “going the extra mile” for me. Nigel used to work for a Formula 1 team and also worked for the very same main dealer that I used. When I returned later, the car was beautifully clean and more importantly, skilfully serviced and now feels just great! Thankfully good customer service is not dead!
Thank you very much Carringtons, see you again in 12,500 miles!

I've just bought a VW R32 Golf from Carringtons. The all round experience was excellent, smooth, straightforward with good communication, which was important given that I was buying from distance, Saddleworth, near Oldham, Greater Manchester. I'm a car enthusiast and so it was good deal with Andrew who also loves cars. That kindred interest and seeing some of the interesting older vehicles he owns was an added pleasure. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending Carringtons.

I have used Carringtons since I got my first Golf this year. I have found nothing but very pleasant helpful staff with a knowledge of cars. They talk English and not jargon. They are an example to other garages.

Living in East Yorkshire and working in Oxford sometimes makes it difficult to use my local garage for servicing and repairs, so I was delighted to come across a company like Carrington's, whose courtesy, professionalism and dedication to the job has been outstanding.
Even with 80000 miles on the clock the car felt like new after a full service, cambelt, tensioner and water pump change, replacing front discs, pads and suspension bushes, as well as servicing the rear brakes. In addition to work well carried out they gave the car a good wash, thoroughly cleaning the wheels (including removing the tar deposits etc.)
Outstanding.

A very big thank you to Carringtons. I received stirling service that has been the best i have ever had when buying a car. From the moment I viewed my BMW 318D M Sport to the moment of purchase I was in professional hands. Take the time to read through the website, what it says is exactly what you get ... a NO pushy NO hard selling service. I am very wary when buying a vehicle and i believe it is down to all the salesman i have encountered before, they settled my concerns immediately just by meeting them. You can rest assured that there is no funny business with Carringtons, just genuine nice guys who want to make sure your happy, but they will do it in an honest way. It took me an hour and a half to travel to see these guys, and I will do it again and again when I want to buy the next car. I am a very happy man and I hope by reading this you will put your trust in them. Thanks gents love the car and the coffee was splendid!

We have just collected our second car from Carringtons. In both instances we have had no issues whatsover. Things have happened, when Carringtons have said they would at the originally stated cost. Our experiences of their friendly staff and competent service runs from the showroom and through to their workshop alike.
It's a pleasure to find a garage that respects it's clients repeat business as much as the initial sale. My wife and I would gladly recommend Carringtons to anybody.

I contacted Carringtons to invite them to look at the car: they suggested that we let Carringtons sell the car on our behalf on a sale or return basis, and gave me an indicative value of what they would return to us if the sale was successful.
After about six weeks the car was sold, and we were returned a value, which was pretty much what had been indicated.
In all it was a painless, friendly and entirely satisfactory experience from a business sector that does not always enjoy a 'positive press': I certainly would recommend Carringtons and use them again.
